Milk and Honey
milk and honey is an amazing story about overcoming pain and suffering and becoming better and happy. Rupi Kaur is the author of these books coming onto the scene because of this popular piece of literature. The sister book of this novel helped her notoriety as a writer and is a stellar novel like milk and honey. A beautiful quote from the book is
“how you love yourself is
how you teach others
to love you”
One of the questions a reader might ask is, “Is it as good as the readers say it is?” I say yes it is an amazing book it hits the reader with emotion and a flow of words like a river. The story talks about life for a woman and how it is so painful from being a child. To adulthood and how men are awful and you should love yourself. This book in my opinion is extraordinary and I love it. Like the quote I put for the story all of the quotes is beautiful and can make someone cry. There is no main character but it talks about abuse and painful relationships.
Kaur writes in small passages with only lower case letter, all of what she writes is beautiful poetry. I could comparing Milk and Honey to The Godfather because they are both very powerful pieces of art. It was just waves of different emotions from The Godfather and Milk and Honey. Kaur lives in Canada and is a New York best times seller and found her love of art from her mother. This book does not really end on a cliffhanger but ends beautifully and really makes the reader feel how Kaur feels. milk and honey is 208 pages and is $10.00.

I really connected to this book, I feel like the world is made to hurt and the people around me don't make it any easier. Most of the time they are trying to hurt me mentally so I have to choose to leave the bad people for the good people.
