Lasts
The writing titled “Lasts,” written by Tori Hilmanowski, talks about a senior's last time in a forest. Her writing left me feeling calm and nostalgic. Tori’s article altered my view on high school seniors. I only thought about the enjoyment they feel. I never thought about the memories they make but have to leave. This article is beautifully written, and somehow had a flow to it. A line from the article states, “I smelled the crisp autumn air as it gently blew around me.” This sentence was easy to see and feel. Another sentence stated, “My time in the forest came to an end.” I think this line symbolized her school career, and the sentence created many emotions. This article Tori wrote was incredible and created a mood of peace and tranquility.
