The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein
The Moon is a Harsh Mistress
Although I usually love science fiction and futuristic stories, this novel caused me to make an exception. I find to be and unraveled cliché that several authors have already written down.
A handy worker, beautiful mistress, and an old man whose done everything at least once unite together to rebel against Authority, which lives up to its name. It seems nearly impossible until they recruit a fourth companion- Mike/Michelle. It is the smartest robot on Luna but that’s not all. It happens to be the storage for all the data that is submitted into Authority, all they have to do is ask what the password is and unlock it. As the story continues the three humans a have trouble telling Mike that a glitch is not a “funny every time” joke.
It’s definitely a book that’s been done before but I recommend this book to those who enjoy futuristic stories, unlike myself.
