House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros
The story The House on Mango Street is about a young girl named Esperanza. She has moved so many times and the areas she moves to weren't good at all. Esperanza was in her mid teen years when she moved to a house on Mango Street. Her dream was to live in a big house of her own. Her past homes were apartments. She got a house when she moved to Mango Street. However, it wasn't the house she wanted. It was a little old beat up house. I would recommend this book to young teens because it gives a lot of advice and relates regular teen issues.
