Marley and Me by John Grogan
Marley and Me is a memoir written by John Grogan about his life with the world's worst dog. Marley, is a giant Labrador Retriever, who has too much energy, always wants to play and do the right thing, but he does not know his own strength. The yellow lab loves John and Jenny, John's wife, but the dog gets into all sorts of trouble. The dog destroys a whole couch, jumps out of a driving car, stars in a movie, and loads more.
This book perfectly sums up life with a highly energetic dog: the dog will always keep your life fun and interesting, but sometimes it's a hassel. The ending to the book is heart-crushing, but well done. Overrall, the book is an absolute must read for anyone and everyone, even for people who are not the largest fans of dogs. But after reading this book, those people will instantly become fans of canines. The story is well written, and perfect for kids to do projects on.
