Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part 1
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part 1 is the first part of the final chapter in the Harry Potter saga. Because Harry Potter and his friends believe that the key to stopping Lord Voldemort is destroying the Horcruxes, they end up finding themselves on an adventure for the ages as they don't go to Hogwarts their final year, and instead, they go on an epic quest to find and destroy the mysterious relics that might be the key to defeating the leader of the Death Eaters. However, seeing as the Horcruxes are the main source of Voldemort's precious immortality, the dark lord used powerful, complicated spells to ensure that it would be nearly impossible to eliminate the odd items. To make matters worse, Hermione, Ron, and Harry's friendship is put into jeopardy as they are pushed to their very limits and are constantly challenged by obstacles that include the threatening Death Eaters that are in a never-ending search for them; it seems as if the entire world has been targeted against the brave friends. The ultimate battle is upcoming, and the trio is doing everything in their power to prepare for it, which happens to be one of the most noble tasks of their entire lives.
Even though the movie feels slightly over-packed at times, the movie manages to create an incomparable amount of intensity and make the inevitable part 2 one of the most anticipated endings of all time. Although the brilliant beginning of the movie starts things off on an extremely high note, things quickly start to get over-complicated and less interesting towards parts of the mediocre middle. However, the enticing ending has a thrilling twist that is both heart-crushing and couldn't have been more well done.
Because the characters are basically full grown up now, their relationships with one another is more complicated and dramatic than ever before. This delirious drama manages to fit in nicely with the grim, dark tone that captures the evil-esque that the Death Eaters create all too well.
The tenacious tension is mind-blowing, and there are more than enough magical moments to make even the most avid wizard-trainees satisfied. The vividly outstanding visual effects are absolutely spectacular and capture the essence of the struggles that the entire world is going through as the tide of evil attempts to triumphant over good.
Although this movie is definitely a great one in its own right, it doesn't quite manage to topple over some of the other movies in the franchise. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a fair 78%, and an impressive 96% of Google users liked the movie, which goes to show that the movie's intensity sat well with fans. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part 1 isn't the greatest movie out there, but avid fans will enjoy it, and it's definitely a necessity to watch this film in preparation for the final showdown that's going to be proudly showcased in part 2.
