Bad Times at the El Royale is a mysterious thriller that revolves around a hotel called the El Royale during the 1960s. The hotel is famous for being on the border between Nevada and California, so some parts of the hotel are in California and others are in Nevada. The place used to be a fancy hotel that received some of the upper elite as customers, but now things have changed tremendously. The entire area has sketchy vibes around it, and it always feels like something bad is going to occur. There is only one guy who works there, and it seems like he is hiding something. When this one manager must finally deal with six other strangers that all have things to hide, it seems like the hotel could turn into a battle zone. The manager, a priest, a singer, a salesman, two sisters, and a mysterious man named Billy Lee converge together, and as they interact and interfere with one another, nothing good can occur. 
 Bad Times at the El Royale proves to be a suspenseful adventure that knows how to entertain. The movie is action-packed, intriguing, and because the movie is so unpredictable, only one thing can be expected: the unexpected. All of the characters in the movie are complex and have so many different layers to them, which helps to make the movie substantially more interesting. The beginning of the movie is able to do a brilliant job of introducing audiences to the creative setting and all of the original characters. The middle of the movie magnificently progresses the movie along and adds necessary background information to all of the characters to help allow audiences to get a better understanding of everyone on screen. The enticing ending of the movie manages to be able to conclude the exhilarating roller coaster wonderfully as all loose knots are tied up and all questions finally get answered. 
 Bad Times at the El Royale is a fascinating movie in that it combines so many different qualities with one another. It feels like it is a creation of Quentin Tarantino, and it definitely seems like the actual creators wanted to follow his unique style. The actual pace of the movie is surprisingly slow in some parts but then quickly speeds up in others, but because the movie is very well done, it it capable of pulling off the cool storytelling technique. 
 Bad Times at the El Royale is able to pull off so many different things thanks to a stellar cast that shines. Chris Hemsworth plays one of the more mysterious characters in the movie in Billy Lee, and his performance aids the movie tremendously. Cynthia Erivo does a fantastic job of portraying Darlene Sweet, the singer, and her character is crucial to contrasting with some of the others in the film. Jeff Bridges does a superb job of portraying Father Daniel Flynn, and his portrayal is definitely one of the better ones in the movie. Jon Hamm does a spectacular job of transforming into the salesman and is certainly a fan-favorite character. All of the characters interactions with one another is amazing to watch, because there is so much suspense, drama, and intensity, and this is coupled in with an incredible dialogue that is thought through and clever. 
 Bad Times at the El Royale seems to be enjoyed by a wide variety of audiences, including both viewers and critics. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie an exceptional 75%, which is quite the impressive score, and IMDb gave the movie a solid 7.1/10, which is better than it seems. An outstanding 88% of Google users liked the movie, and the only ones who didn't were probably those who were too young for this movie that is better suited for mature audiences. 
 Bad Times at the El Royale is certainly worth watching because it combines drama and intensity into an awesome adventure that is sure to surprise with its thrilling twists and turns. The only thing to expect is the unexpected, making this movie one to see.
