If you're looking for a good movie, I have a great movie called “National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation”. This 1989 comedy has had people laughing since its release. This funny yet sad movie is definitely worth a watch because it is funny, sad,and thrilling. I am going to be explaining some of the funny, sad, and thrilling parts of this movie.

The first part I am going to talk about is a few of the funny parts, Clark Griswold played by ( Chevy Chase), his wife Ellen Griswold (Beverly D’Angelo), son Rusty Griswold ( Johnny Galecki), and daughter Audrey Griswold (Juliette Lewis). They are riding out to get their family Christmas tree when they get passed by these two guys in an old truck when he goes to pass them they get stuck under a semi-truck. When they finally turn out they are headed straight for a snow truck they turn again and end up driving over a snow pile and landing in a field; from there they begin to look for the tree. Eventually, they find the perfect tree, but Clark forgot the chainsaw so they somehow pulled it out of the ground roots and all, and headed home with the tree on top of the car. Another very fun part is when Clark gets a letter from his work he thinks it is going to be his bonus but instead his enrolment at the jelly of the month club. And the last funny part that I am going to talk about is when cousin Eddie is emptying his septic tank into the city storm sewer while smoking a cigar in his underwear. The next point is going to be sad 

There are a few sad parts of this movie and here are a couple of them; The first sad part is when Clark spends hours and hours putting up lights all over their house. The lights are everywhere on the gutters, windows, and shingles. The first time he lights them up he has everyone come outside to see the lights and when he goes to plug the extension cords together none of the lights turn on. Another sad part is when he is upstairs and finds these old tapes of him with his mom and dad on Christmas. Another thing in the attic is he finds an old mothers day gift he forgot to give to Ellen. The final sad part is when Eddie's kids tell Clark and Ellen that they haven't gotten gifts in a couple of years; so Clark decides to tell Eddie that he will help pay for some gifts for the kids. Get ready for a thrilling next paragraph 

The final point is thrilling. I think the most thrilling part of the movie is when Clark is all upset about not getting his Christmas bonus; so Eddie drives over to Clark's boss's house and kidnaps him from his home and brings him to Clark's house. The second thrilling part is when the police are called for the kidnapping and they come flying through the windows and doors. The final thrilling part was when Clark went outside to get a new tree because his old one got burnt down, then When he got it inside they heard a funny noise and before long there was a squirrel running around the house. Finally, the neighbor comes over to talk to Clark and when he opens the door, the squirrel and the dog that was chasing it go jumping right into her chest.

In conclusion, I talked about my favorite 3 parts of the movie. The funny, the sad, and the thrilling, for me, when they have all three in the same movie it makes a very great movie. The thing that keeps me watching and laughing is when aunt Bethany hands rusty the Christmas present and it starts meowing. This quote I think really ties everything together from the funny, the sad, and the thrilling. “Hey! If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head.” These are the reasons why I think National Lampoon's “Christmas Vacation” is worth a watch.
