The Hobbit

In the movie The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins (played by Martin Freeman) is requested by Gandalf (Ian Murray McKellen) and some dwarves to go on adventure to reclaim Erebor, the Dwarf Kingdom, which was invaded by a dragon named Smaug. On this adventure, Bilbo and the Fellowship have run-ins with cave trolls, orcs, goblins, and Gollum (Andy Serkis). The movie doesn’t end with a resolution, which makes you assume that there will be two more movies. The movie stayed mostly true to the book, and the cast did a great job with playing their characters. The location they chose in New Zealand was almost completely transformed into Middle Earth, Hobbit Holes and all. The storyline was interesting and easy to follow, and there was never a part where it got boring or slow. It had many parts that were filled with action, and there were some parts that were humorous. All in all, I thought it was a great movie, and it gets a five out of five.
