If you live in Baton Rouge you most likely know someone who goes to LSU or went to LSU. These people probably loved this school because most people do. Four out of the last five people I have talked to have mentioned that they love LSU. Also, if you live in Baton Rouge or even the state of Louisiana, you probably are a tigers fan. I ask you this, if you’re a “fan” why wouldn’t you go to the school. I believe that everyone born in the city of Baton Rouge should definitely go to LSU because it’s the best school in the south eastern conference.


Louisiana State University’s sports are down right amazing. LSU has a variety of sports all holding some of the greatest athletes in the nation. LSU Athletic Teams include Soccer, Softball, Swimming & Diving, Men's Tennis, Women's Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, baseball, Men’s basketball, Women’s basketball, Cross country, football, golf, cheerleading and gymnastics. The football team is currently ranked number two in the nation and is always a power house. LSU’s football stadium, Death Valley, is electrifying, and there was even a small earthquake started because of the noise, one crazy night. The basketball team always ends up making a huge run towards the SEC championship. The baseball program has won multiple championships, and even won four in a row! Lets not forget the cheerleaders! The cheerleading squad is a group of very beautiful and very talented young ladies and young men that work very hard for each game. A sport is always in season, and being in a strong conference, the SEC, games are always fun and entertaining. Let’s just say you won’t get bored at LSU.

Sports aren’t the only thing about this great school. LSU has thousands of great students and teachers. Actually, over 30,000 people a year get educated at this great school and there are 1300 teachers that are as brilliant as they come. LSU is one of only twenty-one American universities designated as a land-grant, sea-grant and space-grant research center. The schools campus is very beautiful and seems like it makes people to learn.

If you currently live in Baton Rouge or anywhere in Louisiana you better be planning or going to Louisiana State University. It’s the right choice! Its academics’ and sports make it one of the top schools in the South Eastern Conference and even in the nation. No other school compares to LSU!
