A Friendship That Went To Waste
Izzy has a guy best friend and his name is Brandon. They’ve been friends since they were children. It’s been a rough friendship for the both of them unfortunately. It’s been a road with bumps but they’ve gotten through those bumps. Izzy is a good girl, she has a great personality and she has a kind heart, she has love for everyone. On the other end, Brandon is the opposite of what Izzy’s personality is like. He is more of a serious, mean person and very stuck up. And although he had that kind of attitude, Izzy put up with him as a best friend.
They went on a ice cream date after school as they had planned it the day before. They were going on a date to catch up on things between their friendship since it wasn’t at it’s best. They always did this because Izzy didn’t want drama between them, all she wanted was a good friendship the whole time. Sometimes when Brandon didn’t have any money to buy some ice cream, Izzy would tell him that it’s ok and she would buy him some as well and everything would go well so far.
But this time, Brandon denied the offer that Izzy had offered him of buying him some ice cream and was just in a bad mood. They had to walk to the ice cream shop after school which was about a 10 minute walk and Brandon was already in a bad mood because of that, he just didn’t show it to Izzy. Either way Izzy knew that something was wrong with Brandon because of his weird attitude already. She didn’t know that it was because they couldn’t take the bus to the ice cream shop that is a couple blocks down from their school.
Once they got there, Brandon told her that he didn’t know anymore about their friendship. Basically saying that he’s giving up on the friendship they have and he’s going to leave her side. And Izzy instead of feeling sad at that instant moment like every other time that Brandon has said something like that, she agreed as well that she was done with him. She was done trying to fix things even though she was the only one who ever tried in their friendship and in her eyes, she finally realized that it wasn’t worth it to fight for a friendship where her “friend” isn’t even putting any effort anymore. She finally figured that it’s best to leave it how it is and they can both go their separate ways.
She realized that she had wasted her money, and her time on someone who actually never cared in reality. She had told him her deep secrets once because she thought that she would be able to trust him since the beginning because that's how he made it seem like. In the end, she learned her lesson which is that there aren't friends in life, they don't exist. She learned that they'll end up betraying you and leaving you hanging in the end. But she'll be better in life that way, away from negative people.
