Lack of Motivation
He wakes up in the same bed, to the same alarm. Eats the same breakfast, wears the same suit. Drives the same car, to the same job. Works the same work, on the same desk. Greets the same people, shakes the same hands. Makes the same dinner, in the same kitchen. Plays the same show, on the same TV. He gets under the same blankets, on the same mattress. He feels the same emptiness, yearns for the same change.

For this set piece, I wanted to use repetition to convey the idea of how boring and repetitive this man’s life was; show his lack of motivation.
