My Own Path
The wind swirled around me, tickling every part of my body. The wind slowly whistled an unknown tone. A tone that caused shivers on my neck and made every hair on my body go up as if it were grass. I began to take my first steps and heard the crackles of the brown dried up leaves. The crackles of the leaves reminded me of the shattered dreams, I am leaving behind at this place.
I turned my head to look at the white paint peeling off of the door of the old decrepit house. The house that I tried to raise my family in. The one I once dreamed of. The family that fell apart with the decrepit house. "I guess some dreams look better on paper." I whispered as the grey puffy clouds dissolved into the sky just like my family had. Here I walked my own path. Here I start new, leaving everything behind, including myself…
