Little Sisters
Sisters; either your worst enemy or your best friend. Unfortunately I’ve got two of them, and even worse they’re both older than me. We used to fight all the time. Lots of yelling and screaming over idiotic things. Wearing eachothers clothes without asking, everyone; who’s going to get the shower first, never me; who’s going to sit in the middle on the 8 hour road trip, always me. My oldest sister says that being the oldest sucks because parents are more strict and expect the most from you. My other sister says being the middle child is terrible because you’re “forgotten about” all the time, which I don’t believe is true. But I think being the youngest is the worst because your the baby and everyone literally treats you like one. I don’t know much about being the oldest or the middle but I can tell you a lot about being the youngest. 1) You don’t really get to play barbies. They make you think you’re playing with them but really they just give you the oldest and ugliest barbie doll and make you live outside of the barbie dream house while they get all the cool stuff. But you love it anyway. 2) You never get to play video games. Since all the games are only “two player” you don’t get to be a part of the fun so you just sit there and watch them play for hours on end. But you love it anyway. 3) When you play “house” you have to be the dog and you aren’t allowed to talk. But you love it anyway. Down the road, you all grow up a bit and they start to leave you behind. They’re off to bigger and better things. Then something weird happens; you start to miss them. You wish you could have those days back and you realize that having sisters isn’t so bad. Even though you didn’t realize it at the time they were like your best friends. You miss all the fighting and yelling. You would do anything to have them back even if it meant you always have to sit in the middle and you never get the first shower. You miss them helping you with your homework and you miss them being your personal chauffeur. Mostly, you just miss them being there and you realize that you took them for granted. You get mad that they left you all alone while they get to do cool grown up things, but you love them anyway.
