The little girl ran and ran and ran and ran. No matter if she hopped, skipped, jumped, or cartwheeled she couldn’t get away. She climbed up a tree, jumped into the creek and hopped in the back of her dads pickup truck but still she couldn’t shake it. She took water and threw some at it and did the same with some acorns but still couldn’t scare it off. She tried rolling in grass, running in circles and even tried jumping off a big rock to try and fly away from it but nothing worked. As the day became dusk, it moved from behind her to in front but still remained attached to her like a leech. The girl wanted to give plain ol’ running a try again. She ran and ran and ran again and this time it worked! By the time she ran away from it, the orange dusk sky had turned dark and her shadow had finally trailed off.
