The boy lifts his bowl to his lips, slurping his mother's famous tomato soup. He sits in the kitchen with his snow pants on, the straps tightly arching against his shoulders. The color of his cheeks matches the dinner that is steaming under the boy's nose. He inhales, lifting his head backward. He stretches his legs underneath the table and spreads his toes. Nothing warms the boy up like his mother's famous tomato soup.

Oh, sweet winter!

I like this! It's a very descriptive piece of work, and although it is short you can get the whole sense of winter from it! Good job !
