The wind howled wildly and the rain poured down. Lightning struck sporadically and thunder mumbled overhead. Puddles were filling and spilling further into the street. Tree branches were drooping, their hair wet and heavy. Any creature with some sense took shelter from the storm. I must be senseless to waltz with the wind and blackening sky.

My Creative Writing class was challenged to write a story using only fifty-five words, and I like what I ended up with.
