The captain of the Boeing 57 contacted the control tower and there was no answer. The pilots turn off the landing gear and look for radar for the closest airport to land. The plane was now landing in New Jersey about 20 miles where the plane is. 20 minutes later the plane was making it descend to the New Jersey airport. The pilots turn on all controls for landing and, contacted the landing. The control tower responded with the all clear signal. The plane the airbus onto and the plane touching everyone were so relived to on the ground again.
Why did the runway lights turn off? With no response?
