Call Me Ms. Curiosity
Everyday, would be the same kind of day, from the start of being bullied in the morning, till the time she left school. Maria would sit alone and silently cry to herself, and felt the same feeling of never loving school and wanted a new start. The guys or girls at school or even out of school would come up to her and call her names like sl*t, ret*** anything they could come up with. She hasn't told anybody, she was afraid to tell them what kind of fear she lived in the past few years at school. Once she got off the school bus, she always scurried to get into the school, to get to her locker before all the loud noisy kids piled in. Always missing the perfect time to get into her locker everyday, it started getting crowded fast. The high schoolers were pushing and shoving younger students all around. As, Maria wandered around each classmate to her locker noticing a Senior boy pushing a freshman into a locker. Her thoughts were how cruel could this world actually be. Maria let out a soft sigh, as she reached her locker. She put all of her books away, and started to get ready for her first class of the day.
Suddenly, a hand came crashing down on the closed locker beside of her a loud "BOOM!" sound rung in her ears. The sound of it made Maria jump as she looked over to notice a familiar face. Chad, the boy who was on the football team, the basketball team, and the most popular guy around here, as well as bullying Maria everyday since she started high school. Chad had short brown hair, and green eyes that would stick out a mile away. Maria looked at Chad for a second, she closed her locker real fast and tried to get away, but Chad grabbed her arm and threw into the locker. " Where do you think you're going, Ma-rr-iaa?" He said with a brutal deep voice. Maria instantly turned pale, pale as a ghost! "Answer me Maria!" He spoke again, but this time Maria could hear the evil in his voice. " I.... I have to get to class, Chad."
She looked down as she spoke, not bothering to look at the anger in his face. She knew the bell has rang 4 minutes ago. Thinking what could he possibly want, never knowing what she ever did to Chad. As soon as Chad spoke again, she snapped out of what she was thinking about. Maria felt a cold hard punch hit the mid-center of her stomach making her drop her books, and fall to the school's floor. Clenching her fist as tears ran down her cheeks, gasping for a breathe. Maria cried out for help, but as no one was around to help. She tried getting up with the help from the locker. But the locker didn't give her as much support as she needed. Maria noticed Chad was standing behind her. " Well, It looks as if nobody's around to help you, Miss Mar-rr-iaa." A devilish smirk crept onto his lips as he walked away, leaving Maria laying on the floor crying in agony.
A hard like stomp crept closer and closer, Maria didn't have much energy to speak, or even keep her eyes open. This small shaped figure of a hand came down on Maria's shoulder. "Are you okay?" This girl asked very calmly that could soothe anyone's emotions. This small figured girl grabbed Maria by her arm, wrapping it tightly around her own neck. The girl lifted Maria up and started walking her to the nearest bathroom. She leaned Maria against the bulging wall that was sticking out in the ladies bathroom.
She grabbed some paper towel, and ran the sink with hot water. The girl dipped the paper towel in the hot water, and begun to wipe Maria's face from her make up. Maria was coming back to realize she was now in the bathroom with somebody she never seen before As Maria came back, she said. " What happened? Who are you?" In a very soft quiet voice. The girl responded nicely. " You were laying on the ground crying and I saw you while walking to my class, and figured I should help you instead of letting you lay on the filthy floor, and sorry my names Destine." Destine said in a calm and loving manor.
