It was late, too late. As I stood in the corner of my office wall I knew something wasn’t right. Suddenly the phone rang. “Detective Duggan, you have a case. You need to find the criminal named “The Shark”. He was last seen at the Paradise Diner. “Said my boss Officer Maurice Reid. I knew a waitress there she was sweet girl about my age. But she was more than that, I liked her, I mean like liked her. “Okay I’ll head there now” I told him. I took off my sweatshirt and headed into my walk-in closet. I put on some casual combat boots, a gray t-shirt, and a thick black, leather jacket. I combed my messy blond hair and as I looked in the mirror I saw a man whose life was a mess.  I left my office and got in my glossy new elevator. I stared at the glossy silver polished doors the whole time. I told my secretary that I’d need my car pulled around to the front of the building. “Yes sir.” She replied. I got in my car and drove to the Paradise Diner. I walked in and saw dancing performers and skating waitresses.
