Fear rushes through me, as I see the twister coming toward our house. Sirens erupt loudly, piercing my ears. Mom tells me to take cover. Panic sets in: hating storms and the destruction brought. I ask mom if we will be okay, she turns to me with settling eyes and says, “I promise”.
