Wrecking Ball
I fume
I rage
I explode
Pain will come to whoever crosses me.
They should know better
then to unleash my anger.
I turn into a hurricane,
a torrent,
a storm
of words flying at them.
I don’t hold back
I use my gift of finding their flaws
My gift of shattering their smiles
Like glass
They break.
But it’s not enough
I have to make them hurt.
To suffer
To squirm.
So that they will know how much pain
I went through.
The tears,
the long sleeved shirts,
the inadequacy.
I tower over them
with my eyes of fire.
They will remember me.
Not as the girl crying
in the corner
but as the wrecking ball that
crushed them.
Ground them into powder,
shards of hopes,
splinters of a person,
pieces that can’t be whole.
I scream full of fury.
Shrieking,
Hurt,
Inhuman.
I shatter their very essence,
Like glass.
