&ldquo;Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.&quot;<br /> -Albert Einstein

Names are shouted in mockery
Dirty looks are shot her way
She puts a smile on her face
And walks past
Inside, A storm is brewing
The peer pressure, taking its toll
She heard their snide remarks:
SHE SHOULD JUST KILL HERSELF
NOBODY WOULD MISS HER
I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY SHE STAYS HERE
NOBODY WANTS HER
these thoughts echo in her head
Everyday when she wakes up, until she falls asleep
And even then, her dreams turn to nightmares
And restless nights become the norm.
All last positive thoughts slip through her fingers
The storm is no longer brewing
The storm has broken
Her thunderous criss break the silence in the room
As the rain starts to pour through her eyes
She gazes out the window,
Where plastics blow in the breeze
"Look at the bag, even it had places to be
People to see
And hear I am,
Just me being me
And nobody would miss me if I died"
She killed herself that night,
And slipped away to where her dreams,
Were just that, dreams, and never nightmares
Little did she know that her mother would go to call her,
Stumble over her dead body, and upon realization,
Fall to the floor with bellowing cries,
Never would she recover from finding her,
That her sister everyday would stop in front of her bedroom,
Hoping, that by some miracle, she'd swing the door open,
Like she did before
That the elderly man who lived down the block, would continue to wait,
Everyday for her, so they could talk,
Like always,
And that he would always wonder where she was
And that those who looked up to her,
Because of her confidence when being bullied,
Would begin to consider doing the same,
Never would she realize this,
And never could she realize this,
Because now,
It was too late
