"the lies we tell"by Crystal Larsen,beautifully expresses the real emotions of a parents.It depicts the protecting nature in which shields children from reality and keeps the naive. The author creates a picture of how society portrays children.Putting children in a blind spot and keeping them guessing. This somewhat teaches parents of their flaws of not letting their children learn from their parents,and later allowing them to learn from their peers in school. Though my parents are more realistic i can definitely relate and see the bigger picture of what Larsen is expressing.
