Awesome article about learning sign language, Jennifer Jantzen! I am also learning ASL, albeit very slowly and with no course or class to help me. It really is a fascinating way to communicate, and much deeper than any verbal language that I know. It’s great that you’re learning. You describe your thoughts and the impression deaf language and culture make on you very well, and your imagery of “dancing hands” is flawless. Keep learning and keep writing!

In this article "Body language" by Jennifer Jantzen,it says that we use body language. i agree that we use our body as another way for talking. For example if you are deaf or can not talk you would use your hands to communicate with the other person.Jennifer also says "Their bodies are still breathing, still crying out with shaky hands and bright eyes filled with capital letters. They're speaking. Maybe you're just not listening." This relates to me because my cousin can not speak, she is mute, cant hear her but she use her hands to talk to me.

In the article "Body Language by Jennifer Jantzen,I agree with her statement "when you sign, you speak with your entire body". I liked the article because the first sentence that says "there is no such thing as speaking with your hands". That sentence reminded me of a show I watch called "Switched at Birth", it's a show about being switched and the daughter can't talk so she signs to everyone, and everyone in the show has to learn how to sign to communicate with her and other people in the show.
