In “The Mini Cupcake Crisis” by Alexandra, talks about living with an eating disorder. The writing was beautiful and true to life, without glamorizing this touchy subject. Alexandra’s writing left me wanting to know more about her and what she went through. She discussed her hospitalization, recovery and the widely dreaded snack day.

“You would think a tray of cupcakes would be well received by a room full of teenagers, but that wasn't the case, not for us.” The patients refused to eat the snack not because they don't want to eat them, because they can't. This article taught me a lot about eating disorders. I had always assumed that you could control your eating disorder when in reality you cannot. This article was an amazing work of writing and I’d recommend it to anyone.
