One Last Goodbye
She continually comes into my mind.
She is a very sad memory of mine.
I wish I could see her one more time.
I can’t believe I won’t see her again,
Until I die and I make it to heaven.
All she wanted was her own freedom.
She decided that the only way was for life to be done.
She ended it quickly that July night,
I woke to the call at 4am with a fright.
She was gone and I couldn’t deny,
That I didn’t get the chance,
To give one last goodbye.
