A Letter to Beethoven
Dear Beethoven,
I know that your body holds no breath or heart pumps blood. I will address the following of what I have to say hoping that you hear me where ever you are, knowing you are deaf no longer.
I, as a fellow pianist, admire you very much. There are times when I play and I feel like I am you. Strange to think, because I know that I will and could never be as good as you. Beethoven you astound me very much. How you did not let being deaf ruin your life. Instead you grew from it. You are an inspiration to me and many new beginners.
Throughout my years of playing I have mastered some of your music. One can not resist feeling an emotion that overpowers them as they listen to it. Presently, now you are still known as the best of all times, overwhelming millions and millions of people.
To imagine a man such as you create the tunes and rhythms you did is unimaginable. For I still find it a great wonder how you composed when all you heard was a faint, slight note of music in your ears.
Sincerely,
A pianist in present day
