The War
In the beginning ,the tanks shook violently as we fired at the japanese fighter planes. As the bullets flew through the air, the planes went up into flames. When the other planes flew by, the tanks would fire at them. Me sargent hacky, I was crawling when the gun sounds pierced my ears. I would stand up and shot at the Japanese. The Japanese went down as the bullets struck them.
The next day,we could not see anything.we only saw the explosion of the tanks hitting the planes. Over the radio we heard, “All troopers to base camp.” We got there and they had already got them under control.
At the time, Vietnam was ruled by the French and split it into two parts. We were over there trying to get them to bring Vietnam to one country. I fought my hardest to reunite them.
We had been out at war for 7 years. We had only 17% contained this war.I heard over the radio”Help me chopper is going down,.”yelled sargent Bill.
We all started looking for the helicopter. Then we saw the helicopter smoking as the japanese fighter planes shot the helicopter. We all started shooting at the fighter planes. Soon we had the tanks helping us and then are fighter planes. I made my way to the airport to help the planes to take of. We went to war with 56, but only came back with 20. We had to careful because we had lost so many people. We took to the trees and had to get back to camp asap. We started back when a guy jumped out of the bushes. I yelled, “Get down.”
We started fighting and then out of thin air a grenade came fling and I grabbed it out of thin air. BOOM!!! The grenade blew up in my hand.
When I woke up my wife had been sitting there all mornin. She yelped and hugged me.
In conclusion, This is a story a wise man would tell.
