Want It Back
Soda became Vodka and bikes became cars. Remember when getting high meant swinging on the swing set? When wearing protection was wearing a helmet? When the worst thing you could get was cooties? When dads shoulders was the highest place on earth and mom was the hero. Your worst enemies were your siblings. War was only a game of cards, and the only drug you knew was cough medicine. The most pain you felt was when you skinned your knee, and goodbyes only meant until tomorrow. why did we wish to grow up so bad? Did we think that our parents had it easy or that we were prepared for what life is now? I know Im not and it terrifies me because now days no one cares to hear what you think or your side of the story its all about who they believe is right and their opinion that can ruin your life. I dont want that, I want a world where its based on the facts. I want my childhood back.
