In the world we live in today everything has to do with electronics such as phones, television, computers, watches, and even cars. So what if one day all electronics in the world just stopped working? 

On Monday morning December 8th Maliyah, a college student, wakes up for work and realizes she had woken up late because for some reason her alarm didn’t go off like usual. She then gets out of bed to get her phone off the charger but she runs into what she thought was a minor problem. Maliyah’s phone was not working which was very strange because the night before it was working perfectly fine when she was talking to her mom on the phone. Maliyah ends up forgetting about her phone not working and starts to get ready to go on about her day.While Maliyah is about to leave Mariah, Maliyahs roommate, comes barging into the room shouting “HAVE YOU SEEN THE SIGNS OUTSIDE?!!!!” Maliyah looks very startled and confused but responds by saying “No, why? What do the signs say?” Mariah then tells Maliyah to follow her outside to see for herself. 

The minute they stepped outside Maliyah instantly froze like ice because of what she just read on the signs. All the signs said “ATTENTION EVERYONE, ALL ELECTRONICS ARE NOW BANNED AND DO NOT WORK, IF WE ARE TO SEE ANY USAGE OF ELECTRONICS YOU WILL BE ASSASSINATED IMMEDIATELY” Maliyah and Mariah stood there stuck like a statue not knowing what to do next or what to even think. Maliyah and Mariah are completely shaken and think the world is about to end because what would teenagers do without their electronics right? 

Maliyah and Mariah both quietly walk back inside not saying a word to each other but as they enter their dorm on the charger is still Maliyah’s phone from earlier except this time it’s turned on and working. Unless they want to get assassinated, Maliyah and Mariah should just throw the phone away and leave it alone. However, they’re teenagers so what do you expect? They sprinted over to the phone faster than lighting and began to check they’re social media. Maliyah quickly noticed that no one was active EXCEPT… one person. 

Emily, Maliyah knew her because they had each other in technology class. Emily was an outstanding college student and had a lot of experience with technology repairs. Maliyah rapidly texted Emily to see if she would help her fix all her electronics but first she made Emily promise not to say anything to anyone about it. After a while of Maliyah and Emily texting, Emily made her way over to Maliyah and Mariah's dorm. Once Emily arrived at their dorm, they hurried to fix all the electronics before they got killed. Emily did an amazing job at fixing everything as fast as she could. Maliyah and Mariah celebrated and jumped with joy thanking Emily for her hard work and help. Suddenly all three of the girls heard noises outside their dorm room and began to panic. They scattered around the room to hide and turn every electronic off but before they could finish it got as quiet as a mouse. After 10 minutes of absolute silence, Maliyah, Mariah, and Emily thought they got away with it but little did they know...
