If I Had a Voice in the World
If I had a real voice in the world you know one that people actually listened to I think the first thing I’d do is try to make things more fair. Not perfect, because I know that's impossible, but at least fair. Like, why is it that where you're born decides so much about your future? Why can some kids go to school without even thinking about it, and others have to fight just to learn how to read or write?
If I had that kind of voice, I wouldn't use it to talk over people. I’d use it to speak for the ones nobody hears. The girl who's scared to raise her hand in class because someone once told her she wasn’t smart. The boy who stays quiet because every time he speaks, people laugh. The kids who live in places full of war, or hunger, or fear just trying to grow up in a world that doesn’t always care.
I’d fight for education. Not boring education where everyone memorizes facts and forgets them the next day. I mean real education, where kids feel inspired, safe, and like they actually matter. No one should feel like their dreams are too big for where they come from.
Also this might sound weird but I’d want people to care more about the planet. Like, I don’t want to grow up in a world where we just keep ignoring climate change until it’s too late. If I had a voice people took seriously, I’d ask them: Why are we okay with destroying the only home we have?
And yeah, I’d also want people to be kinder. Not the fake kind you know, not the kind where someone smiles at you right after talking bad about you behind your back. I mean real kindness . The kind where you actually care how someone’s doing and help even if there’s nothing in it for you. I feel like the world would be so different if we all just listened to each other instead of trying to win every argument.
Honestly, I don’t think having a voice is about being the loudest person in the room. It’s about saying something that makes other people stop and think. Something that maybe gives someone else the courage to speak up too.
If I had that voice, I’d use it to remind people that every single person matters. Even the quiet ones. Especially the quiet ones. Because sometimes, the people who’ve been ignored the most are the ones with the most important things to say.
