Reflections on the Nature of Stupidity
What have I done? Why did I say that? It seemed right at the time, but now, ugh- what have I done?! That’s always how it works- idiocy comes sneaking along, hidden by a mask of emotions and hormones, and then, late at night, he returns, kicking me in the butt. “You are an idiot! idiot! idiot!” he cries, laughing triumphantly and humorlessly, rejoicing in the fact that he has tricked me once again, celebrating his success at finding a gullible host to support his parasitic hunger. He smirks as he adds my name to a list entitled “Stupid.”
