Waiting By The Door MAG
When I was a child I stood by the door waiting,
waiting for you because I missed you.
When you walked through, I smothered you.
I couldn't stand for you to be away.
I knew that you missed me too.
I knew.
Mom used to wait with me.
"He'll be home soon."
Everything was perfect, calm, lovely.
She missed you.
You missed her.
She knew.
Then later you brought me out with you.
No more waiting by the door.
I was happy
Couldn't wait to get home so we could be a family.
I missed her.
You knew.
She was waiting for us to come home,
the day you said it.
I'll never forget.
"You know, no matter what, I'll always love you."
Why did you say that?
I knew.
There's no more waiting for you to come home.
I wait by the door now because I miss you.
We're not one family anymore.
Her and me, and me and you.
You wait by your door because you miss me.
I know.
