Supersonic transportation concludes of traveling at speeds of flying over 750 miles per hour, breaking the sound barrier. There are a few levels of speed that have to do with supersonic transportation. The speeds are mach one, mach two, and mach three. Any other speed above mach three is really hard to reach. There is one known civilian aircraft that can travel at supersonic speeds. the aircraft is the Concord. There are also many twenty, and twenty-first century military fighters that travel at supersonic speeds. Here are a few examples:

SR-71 Blackbird Recon
F-18 Superhornet
F-14 Tomcat
All of these can travel at speeds faster than the speed of sound. Also for photographers, if you time it right, you can capture a military jet breaking the sound barrier. While breaking it, a cloud of water vapor surrounds the plane for one instant, then the next, it's gone. In the future, there may also be an abundance of supersonic civilian aircraft to get you from place to place faster than ever.
