Unwillingly Uninvolved MAG
The poster at school said "Get involved or don't complain."
Now those five words are seared into my brain.
But what can a poor boy do
to get involved, when there are people like you
deciding my fate?
Is it me that you hate?
How can you hate me when you don't even know me?
That's the problem, can't you see.
No, I don't think you can.
Can't see much with your nose in the air.
But what am I thinking, why should you care?
Daddy's not a doctor, mama's not a lawyer.
Is that any reason to exclude me?
I hate to inform you, but the Cosbys only exist on TV.
Or at least they do to people like me.
I'm asking you, pleading with you,
Don't exclude people like me.
Let us have an opportunity,
and you will see,
just what a poor boy can do.
But if you won't let me get involved,
what else is there for me to do ...
but complain?
