All About The Weather: Weather Watchers Report MAG
A new weatherwatcher has come in: Joe Ahern from Canton. He has called in weekly, and the Canton temperatures averaged 30.9EF by night and 50.4EF by day during the first three weeks of March. He recorded a high of 76E on the 15th, and a low of 8E on the 7th.
In Chestnut Hill (Newton), Justin McCullen reported temperatures which averaged 49.4 EF in the day and 21.9E at night. The highest was 78E on the 13th and lowest was 10E on the 3rd and 5th. On the 13th, he reported a temperature plunge from 65E to 48E between 5: 30 and 6: 00 p.m.
Gary Porter has resumed calling in once again, from Medford. His temperatures were mostly in the 40's by day and 20's by night.
As of March 13, Keith Falta from Saugus has written in and we've exchanged letters, but he has not yet become a weatherwatcher.
To join us, send your name, age, address, and phone number to Mike Colclough, Weatherwatchers, 14 Hutchins Circle, Lynnfield, MA 01940. I'll send you any information you want about our "team." It's a fun activity, and no, you do not need a million-dollar satellite dish to do it. In fact, you do not need to have any instruments at the moment, just a slight interest and I'll tell you how to get a thermometer and rain gauge. I would like to thank all the weatherwatchers for helping with this month's report.n
