Friendship

Brendan and I have been friends since third grade. It all started in Mrs. Niece’s room around fall time. It was about, 2011-2012 when we became friends. Both of us were at least eight or nine years old. Both of us came to school that day and walked into the classroom that smelled like wet dog. Then we both greeted each other.

I said, “Hi, what is your name?”
“Brendan, how about you?” he asked.
“My name is Bricetin,” I said.
Eventually, we became good friends and exchanged home phone numbers. Then we went over to each other’s houses. Together we have so many fun memories together. One time it was his birthday, and I bought him a water gun. Both of us went outside and played with water balloons and had fun. He has a big house. Then we settled down then, I started to ask him questions.

I asked, “So where do I sleep?”
“On my brother’s bed,” he responded.
I said, “Oh cool you have a bunk bed!”
“Yeah have fun with his bed!” he exclaimed.
I asked, “Why?”
He said, “Because he pees on it.”

After he said that, I went to sleep on the couch. We have played pool a few times at his house. He was better than I. I have gone to his grandpa’s to ride on the back of his tractor. I have also seen him practice baseball. Brendan has also come over to my house as well. We have done more at his house because he has a bigger yard. I have stayed up at his house playing GTA. We also played games on his Wii, like shooting birds out of the sky with a programed shotgun. I remember when I went over to his house, and he had a trampoline. We played on it a few times.

Then one day he came to school with a cast on his left arm. He broke his arm while he was on the trampoline. I was not there to see it, but he told me about it. It was a red cast that looked like a nice new bright red Case combine. I signed it and a bunch of other people did. He had it on for quite a while.

I also remember his family taking me to a baseball game. We had a great time in that big stadium with a hundred thousand seats or more. We purchased food and watched the game. The ride back was cold in the van they had. The air conditioning in the car felt like someone was pouring a bag of ice on me constantly. We were so tired after the game. Then we arrived back to his house and crashed. I left Ayersville at the end of sixth grade and came back this year. We didn’t talk between that time, but we are still good friends.
