Ethan is simple
Ethan. A simple name. No need for a nickname or something to shorten it up.
Smooth and easy to pronounce, just five letters is what I go by. Like a summer breeze on a hot day. It relaxes the tongue and comes out as a whisper.
Like a guitar playing a soft jazz chord. Unique, but pleasant. My name isn't as popular as John or William, but far more interesting. It strays from the Hot 100 and aims for the ones who like a new and unfelt feeling of peace and calm, like an empty beach on a warm day.
My parents had only two names picked for me. Madeline, a girl name and Ethan, a boy name. I'm happy I turned out male because Madeline seems to be a popular name nowadays, and I don't think I could live up to that level of acclaim.
Ethan fits because it's like a hidden gem that you have to really look for to find the meaning. Something like that one special place everyone has that no one knows about.
No other name could be mine. I am who I am. Ethan.
I like it a lot. A quiet and unique name. Just wanting to listen. Like a leaf in the wind.
