The Second Kind

There are two kinds of diplomatic children: those who, once grown up and no longer the owners of diplomatic passports, move to Small Town America and stay there ‘til their dying days; and those who, with travel so ingrained in both body and soul, become stir-crazy after three years in one place and must retain a cycle of moving and change throughout their lives. These are the children with wanderlust flowing through their veins. I am one of those children.
