"When My Baby Sister Was Born"
My mom picked me up from elementary school. She had bought me ice cream, and she looked excited. I felt the coldness of the ice cream,I tasted the chocolate sprinkles. Then I heard my mom saying that she thinks she’s pregnant and I was like “Really?!” I felt excited because at that time I always wanted a little sister. She said not to tell nobody, but I was so excited that when I got home I told everybody. In school I wouldn’t stop talking about it. I kept feeling excited because I’ve always wanted to be a big sister.
7 months later,my mom’s friend picked me up from school and told me my mom is at her appointment but my sister might be born that day. I felt so excited because my sister was going to be born. I got home and told my brothers. They seemed excited too. My dad got home and told us that my aunt was going to be taking care of us because he’s going to have to go to work. This affected me because my aunt lives in Manhattan and each morning we had to take a taxi to my school and my brother’s school. Each morning we had to wake up early and so we would be tired. This repeated every morning. But on Saturdays and on Sundays my dad took us to the hospital to see my mom. One day my dad called my aunt and told her that the baby was born and that it’s a girl. We all got excited but then he told us that my sister and mom were going to have to stay in the hospital for a few weeks.
One month later my sister came out the hospital. We were all happy because she was finally with us but my mom was still at the hospital. Then another month later my mom came out the hospital and when she came out, we all finally went back home with my sister. We all felt happy because we were all finally together. My sister being born changed my life because I had to start helping my mom do things around the house.
