My Barking Dog
My dog, Beignet’s, barking is a problem that can be fixed by giving treats and toys which will teach her to stop barking. First, the problem is my dog’s barking because it is extremely disruptive and annoying. When she sees an animal outside the window or on television, she will first run to the door or television. Then she will run through all the rooms in the house as if the animal is in the house. The barking can be very annoying, especially when I am trying to focus on something. When I do homework in the afternoon, Beignet’s barking is very distracting. I have to stop what I am doing and try to make her be quiet. It is also disruptive when she is barking at an animal on the television. She sits on the ottoman staring at the television in the living room patiently waiting for an animal to appear on the screen. She will bark at a real or an animated animal that is on the television. When Beignet does this, I have to stop the show or movie and get her to be quiet. Overall, my dog’s barking is a problem because it is distracting when doing homework and disruptive when watching a show or movie on television.
Next, the solution to fix Beignet’s barking problem is to reward her with treats and give her lots of toys. Whenever my dog barks at an animal outside the window or on the television, I will tell her not to do this. When Beignet starts to quiet down, I will give her a treat and praise her. I will continue to do this whenever she barks at an animal. Eventually, Beignet will learn that when she does not bark, she will get a treat. Another solution to this problem is to give my dog lots of chew toys. If Beignet plays with her chew toys, then she might not be concerned about another animal that is outside the window or on the television. This will allow her to play instead of waiting in the window or on the sofa for a dog to bark at. This should teach my dog to stop barking, so hopefully, I will be able to focus more on homework, enjoy a show or movie, and have a more peaceful home. In conclusion, giving my dog treats and toys should help her learn to stop barking at other animals.
Giving my dog treats and toys should help the barking problem and help make the house less disruptive. Currently, it is hard to do homework while my dog is constantly barking. By practicing these solutions, it will hopefully make the house quieter which will allow me to focus more on my school work. I will not have to continually stop my work to get my dog to be quiet. This solution will also allow me to watch television without my dog barking at an animal during every commercial break. When Beignet learns to stop barking, then she will be able to sit on the ottoman and watch the television without being disruptive. I have already started trying these solutions, and it has been working. She still barks sometimes but not as much as she had before. If I continue to practice these solutions with Beignet, then I will soon be able to complete homework, watch a show, and live in a quieter home. Overall, the solution of giving Beignet treats and toys should fix the problem of my dog’s barking.
