Hi! I am Emmy, I live in Wisconsin, I’m 16 years old, and a junior in high school! One thing about me is that I love helping others. I’m always taking the time to compliment people and make them laugh- it’s something that brings me joy throughout the day.

A big way that I like to help others and my community is by doing cat cuddling at the local animal humane society. I volunteer with my mom who also loves helping animals and people. We think volunteering is a lot of fun and it makes us smile. 

When me and my mom go to shelter we do a lot of things. One thing I love doing the most is snuggling with the cats. I also spend time playing with the cats and getting out their energy. We use cat toys to keep them entertained. Helping the animals is important because the shelters can get lonely and they need volunteers to make the cats feel better. I’m making a big difference in the lives of animals because I help to socialize the cats before they get adopted into families.  When I go to the animal shelter I am also making the employee’s job easier because I assist them with their duties. 

Helping makes me happy because I love doing nice things and seeing that it makes people feel better. It makes me feel good to make people's lives and jobs easier. I love helping people and it’s important to do things like help the environment because it makes the world a better place.
