spring morning
“Buzz, buzz, buzz,” my phone goes off with its annoying tone. “Flip”, The light turns and stuns my eyes as I stumble to the bathroom and turn on the shower, “thud thud thud” the water hammers the dry shower floor. I submerge my head into the shower water and instantly wake up and am feeling more refreshed. I get out and begin to brush my teeth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, This continues for a while until I catch myself nodding off to sleep.
I get dressed and work my way upstairs to be greeted by my dogs Blitz and Kevin. They are always so excited in the morning because they know that they are going outside, kind of like a kid on christmas morning. Taking the dogs out in the morning is just as enjoyable for me as it is for them, I get to go out and see the beautiful scape of the morning sun on the lake and breathe in the fresh air. It never gets old.
I grab my keys and start my car. The hum of the engine was almost soothing as I began to drive. I drive and silence still listening to the hum as I am not yet awake enough for music or am in the mood for any noise above a whisper level. The orange sun glares off of the hood of my car as I am zooming down the road. It's the only time of the day where I don't have to worry about getting pulled over for speeding because it is too early for a cop to be on a residential road. I pull into the school parking lot at 6:55, and take a nap in my car until 7:22. I begin walking into the building. My morning is complete.
