My life is compiled on my computer. From the photos that ring of flashing memories of the past. To my bank login for managing my funds. My laptop has everything. It is one of the most critical devices in my life. I use it every day for school and personal use. If my computer were to disappear suddenly, I would be in trouble. Whether it’s browsing the web or examining the vast Amazon catalog I just need my laptop.
My life depends on it. Since I was just entering high school and most likely before, I have dashed away at the keys. Life without my laptop would be mysterious because I can’t remember what I did before.
Multipurpose it is. Voice chats with friends and family, searching for the desired answer, completing homework. The utility is unmatched by anything else.
However, it may be time for a new one because it has started to show its age. Not as fast as it once was. Maybe rather than the computer it's the data that is stored on it that is so vital. The laptop is just a facade to protect what I really care about in it. The memories and emotions that hide underneath. Happiness fed with laughter compacted together to be saved for another time. A time where I can rejoice and reflect upon the past and continue to create such vast memories. An important life lesson I take away, technology can define and help shape you as a person.
Taking me through time to unravel all the events that make up my life. Past sporting events, friends, family holidays, and so much more can be explored with just the simple use of a laptop. Stored away memories that can easily be retrieved. A real that will always return.
