I Cannot Live without Music
Music is a beauty. The lyrics flowing through the mind. It feels like anything could happen if I am listening to music. It’s almost as it can make me levitate. If I’m at a low I just pop in my earbuds and start listening. I find it so crazy that music can make you feel so many different emotions. I can start singing with so much energy if I’m home alone listening to music. Or at night when people are sleeping in my house, I’ll just lip-sync the words. I love music so much that I can’t listen to it while doing my homework or school work, especially if its a reading assignment as I will sing or lip-sync and get so distracted and basically brought into a different world where I can’t focus on anything, but the music.
If I need to lock in for football, I turn on my gameday playlist. It has songs that hype me up for the game. The playlist has the song, “Dreams and Nightmares” by Meek Mill. That song has such a big impact on athletes. A bunch of people credit it as the athlete anthem. During pregame last week when we were warming up, my whole team started singing it, word for word, bar for bar. It got everyone into such a good mood. This is an example of a song that just gets you into the moment and your mind starts to just think about the game and nothing else.
I know some people who have multiple main playlists, but I only have one. It has over 300 songs and is over 24 hours long. Its mostly rap which is my favorite genre, but its got a bit of other genres in there too. My favorite artist’s are probably Lil Tecca, Drake, Lil Uzi, Travis Scott and Gunna. I sometimes go on YouTube and search up “8d audio” after it, which the music has automation going from one ear to the other. I like to close my eyes and think about how I’m at a Drake concert as he sings “nonstop” like he is walking back and forth on the stage. There are even “16d audio”, where it feels like the artist is circling around you. I also love when I’m inside a car with great speakers. I like to feel the bass go through my body or my eardrums picking up every single lyric. It is especially fun when your friends are in the car with you singing together. It is definitely a great experience. Music is great and it is it’s own language.
If music was stripped away, I’d feel lost and incomplete. In some ways it keeps me sane. It is essential. I listen to music almost every day. There would be less fun when doing anything where I would want to listen to music. Happiness would go down. Life would feel bland. My world would almost be silent without music. Music makes the world go round.
