Not Just a Car
There are a lot of things that I can't live without but some of those items can't replace, for example the people that are in my life. But if we are talking materialistic that is where it gets tough. Many of the things I think I need are easily replaceable unlike people.
For me there are many materialistic things that I would save but there is one thing that sticks out from the others, my Dads car. This car is a Dodge Viper in which he has been talking about it for years. Ever since I was a child I remember having toy cars of the Dodge Viper and I would collect as many of them as possible. This car became my dream car Rapidly with the influence of my Dad. When we would go to car shows I would always look for a dodge viper but would never find them because of how rare they are. Rarely I would see them on the road and I would freak out and ask for my Mom or Dads phone because I fell in love with the car. One day my Dad showed me a listing of one on E-bay that he planned to go look at. This filled me with excitement because the day I had been waiting for felt like it was coming. He looked at the car and it didn't end up being exactly what he wanted, this absolutely crushed my dream. It had been a few months. I thought after that that the day would never come until something crazy happened.
The night before I slept at my grandma's house and we met my parents in sweet dreams. We waited inside for my parents to come and eventually they showed up but it was much later than expected. We continued to eat our food thinking nothing of what was about to happen. As soon as I walked outside I saw a black Dodge Viper, I couldn't believe my eyes and ran up to the car admiring it. I asked for my Dads phone to take pictures of it and he let me. After I finished doing that I looked back at my parents as they stared at me. And I asked them “what?” and they said nothing to me. I was very confused, Then it hit me. That car that was sitting in the Parking lot was no stranger's car, it was my fathers.
