Regret
We had such big plans, didn't we? Such hopes for the future. Grow up, open up the resturant, get married, have lots of beautiful babies and grow old together, until our dying day. Where did they all go? Where did the time go? Before I could breathe, I was thirty years old and we had not seen each other for nearly two years. College romance faded into friendship, friendship faded into polite small talk, small talk faded into seeing each other only at the occasional holiday party.
If I could go back, I would make it right. We would do everything we dreamed of and more. Such adventures we would have, from grand and wild ones to the little everyday adventures together.
Should've held tighter to what we had, should have held on for each other. I miss you. I miss talking to you, laughing with you, having fun with you. And although we may never be able to fix what has been done, I want you to know that and I hope you feel the same way about me.
