First day of junior year. Except not really since I’ve been here everyday for twelve hours for a month. Band camp.

My classes are okay. Nothing special. Speech after speech about rules and regulations. I got to hear Drinkwater’s overly complex speech about absences and make up time twice today. I guess that’s what I get for being a band student leader.

I swear she makes up imaginary band kids that are terrible people. Because honestly, there’s nothing like going back to being around the normal teenage population after being around sweet little band students for a month.

Normal teenagers are idiots.

Rehearsal after school ends. I drive home and immediately get behind a gray Ford Fusion who only drives 27 mph. Then two cars get in front of me on Kings Road. Three slow cars now. And then two bikers decide to ignore the stop sign and ride in front of all four of us.

When I finally jerked around them and their stupid skintight leotards, I was going 47 mph.

The limit is 30.
