Never Give Up on Something You Haven't Tried
Over the summer I had the experience of good to camp all by myself for two weeks. I was able to play with kids, clean, serve food and most of all get a closer relationship with people in my group.
One thing that I loved when being at this camp was going White Water Rafting. We had a free weekend where all the other camps were not recieving campers until that Sunday afternoon. We had the choice between going rock climbing in the mountians near the mountians or going White water Rafting. Since I absolutely hate hights and climbing up things I chose rafting.
But as I neared that weekend I started to slightly freak out a bit. I hadn't been rafting before so it was something new to me. I had basically no choice of going I couldn't because well we were sleeping on cold hard ground with nothing but a tarp on the ground and our sleeping bad/pillow and I couldn't stay there the whole entire day.
As we started our day with breakfast and gearing up I felt a little comfort when I saw how big this raft was and that we were absolutely safe. Once we hit the water it was absolutely amazing. Of course I was scared, but so was everyone else they were just hiding better then I did. As we neared this first bump in the water i feel in the wayer while still in the hard water. When I came to my senses I started laughing as I tried to swim in the rough water.
It was by far one of my favorite vacation spot I have ever been on. I learned most of all while being on here was that I shouldn't make assumptions without trying it first like so many of us do in our lives.
